History and Milestones

In 1978, Founder Aluminum Ltd. was founded in Fengyuan, Taichung, by Mr. Lin Shifang and his two brothers. Initially, the company started with manual sand casting. With technological advancements, in 1984, we shifted to semi-automatic production through gravity casting and began exporting globally. We expanded from the furniture industry to the transportation vehicle industry, focusing on the manufacturing of aluminum furniture and mechanical equipment components. We collaborated with Europe's largest furniture company to produce aluminum furniture.

In 1998, we entered a partnership with a European furniture giant, commencing the processing, assembly, and packaging of aluminum extrusion products. This shift in manufacturing focus from gravity casting opened new growth opportunities for us.
In 2007, we established the Founder's Foundation to contribute to society, engage in charitable activities, and give back to the community.

In 2008, facing challenges such as labor shortages, technological gaps, and international competition in Taiwan's traditional industries, FAFACASA began contemplating future trends and formulated a ten-year plan. Simultaneously, to meet increasing order demands, create a friendly workplace environment, and reduce work-related injuries, we initiated Lean production management education and training courses in 2010. We hired a professional consulting team to train leadership and staff, improve production line processes, reduce operating costs, and enhance management capabilities.

In the process of continually enhancing competitiveness in the international market, we automated production further. In 2010, we introduced robotic arms for automated production, significantly increasing production efficiency and providing a better working environment for our employees.

In 2011, we further automated machining and packaging operations using robotic arms, achieving a capacity increase of approximately 70% through human-machine collaboration. This push for automated production allowed FAFACASA to successfully address challenges related to labor, technology transfer, and standardization while creating an industry with innovative added value.

In 2014, to better showcase our growth journey over the years and the innovation in furniture design, we established a second factory area and constructed a furniture museum. This museum, built on our own brand, features international, distinctive furniture pieces, serving as a treasure trove of furniture design. It provides a place for those in Taiwan with design aspirations to appreciate design and expand the horizons of designers. It nurtures new talents in Taiwanese industrial design, shaping design aesthetics and taste.

Faced with increasingly fierce competition in the international market, our management has been committed to smart manufacturing. Starting in 2011, we introduced various automation equipment, and in 2020, we completely replaced the company's ERP system with the SAP system from Germany. We also implemented a Supplier Chain Management (SCM) system in collaboration with the Taiwan Metal Center, installing sensors on machines to integrate all software and hardware, creating a control room, and immediately capturing production information to achieve traceability.

To continuously upgrade our smart factory, in 2020, we established the "Gravity Casting Smart Production Line" and introduced gravity casting automation equipment. This decision marked the initiation of FAFACASA's second production line. We actively incorporated smart production technology, integrating artificial intelligence, data analysis, and other advanced technologies to improve production efficiency and quality, while conserving resources and achieving environmental sustainability.

In 2021, Founder Aluminum Ltd. was honored with the 30th "National Rock Award" by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, recognizing the company's outstanding performance and achievements in business operations. FAFACASA will continue to uphold the spirit of integrity and responsibility, constantly pursue excellence, and make greater contributions to economic development, becoming an even stronger "National Rock."
