FOUNDER Aluminum collaborated with the College of Interdisciplinary Design at Feng Chia University on an industry-specific course, jointly planning the "Museum of Furniture in Taiwan" located in the Changhua Coastal Industrial Park. The students' performance was highly praised by FOUNDER Aluminum General Manager Lin Wen-dou, who believes that "interdisciplinary studies are a great idea. What we see in the College of Interdisciplinary Design is not just students who can pass exams."
FOUNDER Cast Aluminum Co., Ltd., as the largest aluminum furniture supplier for European brand furniture, established its furniture museum with the initial intention of collecting classic furniture from around the world, making it a treasure trove for the design team, so that design aesthetics are no longer just a two-dimensional imagination, but a real experience in daily life.
In order to achieve the goals of "promotion," "sharing and interaction," and "sustainable management," the museum aims to create diverse and profound experiential scenarios for visitors. Therefore, how to plan the museum's space or exhibition area to bring new interactive experiences, attract more people to participate, and showcase the museum's characteristics and value is the key topic of this course.
FOUNDER General Manager Lin Wendou stated, "This special course in collaboration with the Interdisciplinary Design College of Feng Chia University has been of great help to the company. Although the students' initial conceptualization process was rather unconventional, their final results exceeded expectations after the teachers' guidance and refinement."
After multiple rounds of brainstorming, review, and adjustments, the students started by creating rough models and eventually produced five sets of final models, including "start from touch", "before and after chair", "sharing interaction", "the cradle of designers and the joint of the industry", and "the legacy of chairs". The works will also be displayed in the teaching forum.
