The initiative was born out of Fafacasa Furniture's dedication to promoting the fusion of design aesthetics and real-life experiences. As the leading aluminum furniture supplier for European brands, the company's vision for establishing a furniture museum was to curate a treasure trove of classic furniture from across the globe, serving as a wellspring of inspiration for its design team.

The project's primary objectives include promoting the museum's offerings, fostering engagement and interaction, and ensuring sustainable management. To achieve these goals, the focus of the recent industry-academy cooperation project was centered on crafting immersive and interactive experiences for museum visitors. The aim is to attract a diverse audience, demonstrating the museum's unique character and enduring value.

Reflecting on this collaboration, Mr. Lin Wendou expressed his appreciation, stating, "This industry-academy partnership with Feng Chia University's Interdisciplinary Design College has been invaluable to our company. While students initially presented imaginative ideas during the conceptual stage, the guidance and mentorship provided by their teachers led to final outcomes that surpassed our expectations."

Throughout the course of the project, students engaged in multiple brainstorming sessions, iterative checks, and continuous refinements.
Their efforts culminated in the creation of five full-scale model works, each bearing a distinctive theme such as "start from touch," "front and back of the chair," "sharing interaction," "the designer's cradle and the industry's joint," and "chair pulse passed down." These exceptional works are set to be showcased at an upcoming teaching forum.

This dynamic collaboration between Fafacasa Furniture and Feng Chia University exemplifies the power of industry-academy cooperation in driving innovation and nurturing emerging talent in the field of design. It is a testament to the value that such partnerships bring to both educational institutions and forward-thinking companies, as they work together to shape the future of design and creativity.
